    Abstract:

Transient receptor potential melastatin 4 (TRPM4) is a Ca2+-activated monovalent selective cation channel that also plays a key role in cardiovascular pathophysiology. TRPM4 is widely distributed in the cardiovascular system, and this channel is associated with cardiac structure and action potentials. This paper summarizes the existed studies on the physiological regulatory mechanisms of TRPM4 channel and the relationship between this channel and cardiovascular diseases, with the aim of contributing to the subsequent studies on this channel.
