Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is an independent risk factor of cardiovascular disease.It is a big hurdle for us to study the Lp(a) pathogenicity due to its heterogeneity, which has been a hotspot in current medical research.This review was about the research progress of the relationship between Lp(a) heterogeneity and cardiovascular disease, which can provide more detail information regarding the pathogenic mechanism of Lp(a).
