    Abstract:

Calcium (Ca2+) entry into non-excitable cells is mainly carried by store-operated calcium channels (SOCC).The best characterized SOCC current is the Ca2+ release-activated Ca2+ (ICRAC) current.Recently, store-operated calcium entry (SOCE) mediated by the STIM, Orai and TRPC involved in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. This paper describes the molecular elements of store-operated calcium inux complex (SOCIC), their interaction, as well as the role of SOCE in the pathogenesis of pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH), which aimed at providing new research directions about prevention and treatment of PAH.
